Basmati rice/raw rice -3 cups
Water-1 ½ cups
Salt-to taste
Grated coconut-1cup
Soak rice in water for 2 hours.
Grind to a very fine paste with 1 cup water
Add ½ cup water and salt.
Heat the batter in a pan and stir till it become thick.
Knead well with hand.
Fill it in an idiyappam maker and press it on to an idly pan.
add grated coconut on the top and steam for 8-10 minutes.
All time fav food...Looks yummy and perfect with egg roast..
