DUCK FRY


Duck-500gms (cut in to small pieces)
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Ginger-garlic paste-2tbsp
Lemon juice-1tbsp
Chilly powder-1tsp
Pepper powder-1tsp
Coriander powder-1tbsp
Garam masala powder-1/2tsp
Salt-as required
Corn flour/rice flour-2tbsp
Coconut oil-to fry

1.Mix the meat with turmeric powder.
2.In a pan heat oil and slightly roast the meat.
3.Marinate the meat with all ingredients at least 6 hours.(except flour)
4.Pressure cook the marinated meat for 15 minutes.


5.Heat oil in a pan and fry curry leaves (it gives a good flavor to the coconut oil) keep it aside for garnishing
6.Fry the duck pieces in oil ,in medium heat, until it is done
7.Remove the fried pieces using a spoon and keep it aside in a plate
8.In to the same oil, add sliced onions and fry till golden brown
9.Garnish with fried onion and tomato.

  2. I've never tried duck fry; slurp slurp, this looks delicious, I' ll try to do this next time I do duck;
    I always content to do some curries with this meat, never tried frying; thank you for the recipe :)
