Chicken -500ms
Ginger-garlic paste-2tbsp
Grated coconut-1cup
Shallots(chopped)-10
Green chillies-4
Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
chilly powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Garam masala-1/2tsp
Curry leaves -2spring
Mustard seeds -to splutter
Oil- as required
Salt -as required
Water -1 cup
Method
1.Marinate chicken with turmeric powder and salt.
2.Grind coconut in to a very fine paste.
3.Add ginger garlic paste into the coconut gravy.
4.Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
5.Add shallots and green chilies,fry till they become light brown.
6.Add chilly powder, coriander powder and garam masala and stir for 2 minutes.
7.Add the coconut mixture and stir until the oil starts separating from the gravy.
8.Add chicken pieces and mix well with gravy.
9.Add required salt, water and curry leaves.
10.Close the pan and cook till done.
11.Serve with rice and chappathies.
